Application environment and industry demand of friction welding machine

Friction welding machine with its high quality, high efficiency, energy saving, pollution-free technical characteristics, in aviation, aerospace, nuclear energy, weapons,

automobiles, electric power, Marine development, machinery manufacturing and other new technologies and traditional industrial sectors have been more and more

widely used. The application of friction welding in the aerospace industry and the automotive industry is illustrated below.


1. Aerospace industry


With the continuous updating of modern high performance military aero engine, the thrust to weight ratio of its main performance index is also increasing. At the

same time, higher requirements are put forward for the structural design, materials and manufacturing process of the engine. Since the 1970s, GE, represented by the

United States, has taken the lead in successfully adopting inertial friction welding technology in the manufacture of military aero engine rotor components (disc + disc,

disc + shaft). The new high-power T55 turbojet engine produced by the United States T e x t r o n L y c o m i n g company is connected to the front disk and the front

axle and the rear axle by friction welding structure of disk + shaft. P&W listed friction welding as one of the five major welding technologies in engine manufacturing in

the 1980s; The research on friction welding technology of large parts such as high-pressure compressor rotors is being carried out by MT-U company in Germany.

The French dolphin engine also promotes friction welding to the welding of the taper gear of the reducer, and so on. Some foreign advanced aero engine manufacturing

companies have taken friction welding as the leading, typical and standard process method for welding high thrust-to-weight ratio aero engine rotor components.

Friction welding is generally considered to be a reliable, reproducible and reliable welding technology.

Second, the automobile industry


In the large-scale production of auto parts abroad, friction welding technology occupies a more important position. According to incomplete statistics, some famous

automobile manufacturing companies in industrialized countries such as the United States, Germany, and Japan have adopted friction welding technology for more

than 100 kinds of auto parts.


At home and abroad, friction welding technology is widely used in the production of engine bimetal exhaust valve,

such as N i C r 20 T i A l, 5 C r 2 1 M n 9 N i 4, 4 C r 1 4 N i 1 4 W 2 M o high-temperature alloy or Austenitic heat-resistant steel disc

with 4 C r 9 Martensitic stainless heat-resistant steel rods such as S2, 4 C r 10 S i 2 M o are connected to form an integral exhaust valve,

which is especially suitable for the manufacture of hollow valves. The forging welding composite structure has been widely used in the

production of automobile axle in foreign countries. In addition, Fan shaft support assembly, hollow rear axle, front suspension,

automatic transmission output shaft, non-deformable flywheel tooth ring, generator support, viscous transmission fan coupling,

starter pinion assembly, speed selection shaft, torque converter cover, automotive hydraulic jack, steering knuckle, driver's side air bag inflator,

universal joint assembly, camshaft, pump hub and shaft, direct clutch Drum and hub assembly, rear axle housing tube, tilt steering shaft, fork,

cooling fan motor housing and shaft, constant speed universal joint, shaft gear, torque converter cover, drive shaft, fork, turbo drive shaft, central shaft,

turbocharger, passenger side airbag inflator, The friction welding technology can be used to simplify the manufacturing process and reduce the production

cost in the manufacturing process of flat tail socket wrench, rear suspension arm and air conditioner accumulator.
